Restless mind. Resilient joy.
Building resilient systems that bring out the magic of life and work
Why do some people break with a setback, while others seem to keep moving and growing?
Why are some organizations, teams, or cities strengthened by change where others fail to be responsive?
Resilience.
Individuals and organizations that exhibit this trait are not void of failure and disruption; they are prepared for it.
Resilience is a practice of designing sustainable systems (be it habits for individuals, or processes for groups). These systems align with one’s values, can sustain added complexity and disruptions, and leverage one’s strengths to truly create productive results.
Resilience is a buildable trait.
The individuals that cultivate it are the ones that get back up every single time.
The organizations that honor it are the ones that design operations for sustainable growth and effectiveness.
And what I have found to be true about both: there is an inner restlessness - a sense that the status quo is not it - that can be harnessed into courageous action and purposeful leadership.
Hi, I’m Inês.
AND I LOVE GROWING FRUITS OUT OF DIRT.
BOTH LITERALLY AND FIGURATIVELY.
I work with the restless. Those feeling like something is missing; something is off. Those courageous enough to look beyond, want beyond, and create beyond. I replace a “good vibes only” mentality of toxic positivity with the vulnerable hope needed to identify, name and tackle what is not working (the dirt) - and then DO SOMETHING about it (grow the fruit). I am not afraid of some “bad vibes”. Are you?
After a decade in tech, protecting children from online harms, 15 years as a speaker and a life long journey of obstacles in mental wellness, I noticed that my capacity to move, fall, get back up and change with a sense of optimism were both curses of my restlessness, and blessings of a bias towards resilience in action.
Yet, some people were stuck in the “yeah, it’s not good but…”, and organizations rested on “that’s the way things were always done”.
And in typical Leslie Knope fashion I didn’t accept that and decided to do something about it.
I founded Loquat Collective to research the restlessness we see in individuals and organizations, and cultivate self-trust, authentic leadership and resilient operations to craft sustainable change and innovation - and the results that come with it!
From coaching to consulting, public speaking to program design, with my support you will design an operation (be it in life or at work) that runs on values and strengths, is sustainable in the face of disruption, and is both inspired and productive.
Who will blossom here?
The restless
Your mind plays multiple tracks at all times, and you know deep down some of that relates to a misalignment between your values and aspirations and the life you currently live. There is so much noise that unfortunately you have stopped trusting your own voice, yet it keeps speaking to you.
You yearn for a more peaceful mind, meaningful change, and a life of contentment, and you need the courage and self-trust to create it.
The ambitious
You have a keen eye for seeing how things can be better and you are driven by the ambition to be better and make things better, for yourself and others, yet you are constantly told to stay in your lane. You know playing small does not work for you, yet you feel your wings have been cut.
You want to courageously blossom and use your talents and passions to build a successful life on your terms.
